Crosby, Stills and Nash at the Byron Bay Blues Festival

In 2012 I went up to New South Wales in Australia to attend the Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival with my good mate Fitzy. Thanks to the Festival organiser Gaynor Crawford I was given a media pass that allowed me with Fitzy in front of the stage so I could photograph a performer for the first three songs.

Crosby, Stills and Nash were appearing that year. I do remember when I was younger,  often at parties held by the older generation they were sometimes played and always livened up proceedings so I am very familiar with their music.

They were fantastic, a real treat! I could barley concentrate on taking photos as they started their concert. David Crosby noticed me dancing and loving their show. He stood in front of me and posed for this great portrait. I gave him the thumbs up to thank him for giving me an image that I greatly cherish and were very thrilled to have taken at the time. Thank You David and RIP!
